Alexia Krauthäuser will complement our gallery portfolio

The artist Alexia Krauthäuser, studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, master student with Professor Jan Dibbets, can now be found in our gallery portfolio.
Alexia Krauthaus’s pictures of the past years show situations of rushing by, of the permanent from a fleeting perspective.
To see is nature, a view of a forest, more a panorama in the near distance, a dense green event, in between a sunset. On the one hand, these pictures remain in the idea, on the other hand they are concrete in their detail – without ever naming a specific place.
The work of Alexia Krauthäuser is based on photographs:
in the case of the “pass-pictures” shots, which she has made from a moving train. Her often huge paintings convey this impression of the unique attraction. They capture an unrepeatable moment, and in their authenticity they are extremely complex, alive. (excerpt: “Landscape Pieces”)
