A reading by P. Jamin and J. Prüss for Heinrich Heine’s 222nd birthday

On 13 December 2019 (Friday) from 7:30 p.m., a special kind of literary event will take place in the von fraunberg art gallery Düsseldorf, Luisenstraße 53. On the occasion of Heinrich Heine’s 222nd birthday on 13 December – double liquor number – writers and HF read Peter Jamin and Jens Prüss from their works. Both authors and Antonia and HF Frank von Fraunberg conceived this evening event as a tribute to the patron saint of Heinrich Heine Kreis e.V. Peter Jamin focuses on Heine’s great topic of home and reads from his new book “Without any trace – true stories of missing people”. The short stories written in the literary journalism style tell of people who have left their homeland, especially under great pressure from problems. Jens Prüss even resurrected Heine. One summer night he meets Heine in the Montmartre cemetery. In his new book "Heines Katzenjammer", published by Droste, world events in general and Düsseldorf in particular are subjected to a critically humorous consideration. "Reading Hall" is the von fraunberg art gallery, which offers national and international emerging artists and graduates of the local art academy in a challenging ambiance space for the presentation of their works. Currently under the title “GALLERY CHOICE” the artists Christian Rudolph, Daniel Harms, Joanna Jesse, Mahssa Askari, Maxim Wakultschik, Ruri Matsumoto and Theresa Kallrath are shown, whose works on this evening form an atmospheric framework.
